A former architect, he served as a principal and design
director on large-scale hospitality, entertainment
and
retail facilities over his twenty-year design career.
He is still involved with product development for
the
A & D market and his 60 pattern carpet collection
Perceptions for Lees Carpets was launched
at Neocon 2002 and he is currently designing a Bed &
Tabletop Linens Collection for the Japanese market.
Mr. Twardzik has taught interior design, planning
and
graphic arts at Drexel University and Arcadia University.
In addition, he has served as Chairperson and Special
Events Advisor to many non-profit community and arts
organizations including the American Red Cross, UNICEF,
Foundation for Architecture, Philadelphia Dance Alliance
and the Reading Terminal Market. Mr. Twardziks
interior architectural design work has received numerous
awards and has been featured in many leading design
industry magazines. Robert Twardzik's last project
as
Director of Hospitality Interiors at Perkins Eastman
Architects was the award winning Sun City Takatsuki
project (see photo on right).
